Research and development in the field of non-metallic reinforcements is always our focus in our daily work in order to be able to cover a growing field of application with the properties of our products and to respond to customer needs.

For solidian, a team consisting of engineers and laboratory staff, works daily on new solutions for the corrosion-free reinforcements of tomorrow. The main focus of the work is the development of new material concepts taking into account the interfaces between fiber, resins and concrete. At solidian, special emphasis is placed on a holistic property profile and, above all, the behaviour of the reinforcement products in the concrete is investigated and optimized.

In order to be fast and largely independent of external test facilities, an own material laboratory specialised in non-metallic reinforcements was set up in 2015.

In addition, we use existing resources in our parent company Groz-Beckert, where we can exchange know-how with the experts for technical textiles at the Technology and Development Center (TEZ) and carry out textile-specific and structural-mechanical tests.
