Plaster reinforcement
The plaster reinforcement is inserted or integrated into the mortar bed as a fabric. The reinforcement thus takes over any tensile stresses arising from the structural design. This system is comparable with the reinforcement bars or mats used in reinforced concrete components. The aim here is to prevent cracks caused by shrinkage or different thermal expansion of the materials in the facade and thus to achieve a closed and crack-free plaster surface.
